One killer shot is not going to make or break the challenge. What you need to do is to be consistent. Take your time with your shoots and pay attention to the details.

Oh, I agree with that... I was referring to the "plan" and that had the plan come together that it did not guarantee a killer (high scoring) shot. I still had to execute... (same as what you are saying)

Your advice is absolutely sound!

The weather was such that the opportunity (for that plan) was lost... now I am trying to find another (plan), to fit between the rain drops!! :)

Sorry you guys are having bad weather. I've been fortunate to have some good weather the past few days. Hopefully it will hold out over the weekend, I'll be on the water lookin for food.:) (I can't wait)
If I come back to the hill on Sunday and can find some internet service I'll join the spreecast but I don't think it will happen at this point. Pat I'm about to look at some photos I just took, once I figure out the one I want to enter I'll probably email it to you. If you can post it on Flickr for me that would be great!

This is my entry for summer. It was captured at a local swimming hole not far from my house. The water stays a constant 72 year round, pumps crystal clear water out from the aquifer and makes a nice place to hide from the Florida summer heat.

​I'm going out today about an hour east of where the rain is right now and it should be at least dry for us to spend the day to our self's. I might not make it back in time for the upload cut off. No Flickr link up yet as of 9:30 eastern time and I'm leaving soon for the day, so here is a link to my photo entry this week.

I just knew the weather was going to be CRAP today. So we did a trial run (back up shot) on Friday during a small window of time that I had to work with.

I have found that using the built in intervalometer is so much easier then fumbling around with the inferred remote. Set it for 15 seconds and posed for our shots. However we found that the posing for the camera did not look natural, so we ignored the camera and went about our thing, and my entry is the result of that.

Rick, Good job on the picture... Where did you get sone on Friday?? We had it for about 7 minutes during the morning while I was working.. Only sun since last Tuesday (an most moments have been raining...) It stopped raining this morning but I am not optimistic of getting a shot today.

Ok, I just posted mine up on the Challenge Site... I had less than a 2 hour window today to try and get a shot, this is not what I originally had in mind but my original 3 plans were all rained out...

In spite of that, I still like the shot...

Glad to be able to help Rick... I just went into my Flickr and then Communities and Groups List... when I went into Summer, I found an empty Groupl Pools... :) Just a lucky find...
