I don't have any idea what I'm going to try to post yet but I'm hoping lots of people on here will enter
this contest. The more who enter the more I can learn and the more we can keep Corey honest. :smile-new:
Good luck to all who enter and I'm looking forward to seeing the entrees.
Thanks Corey for taking the time to critique and do the spreecast.

LOL yup hahah.

on a side note, Induro just featured me in their blog.

Yeah, I'm the same way Pat. Been in a lot of public places lately looking for love. (boy that don't sound right) Got a couple that might work but not what I'm looking for.

After doing the Happiness, and Picnic photo's which both were very close to love. I don't want to do another self portrait or sunset shot. But models are few and far between for me if I want to use models.

I'm going to be a last minute entry this week. I have a lot of opportunities coming up in the next few days and I want to see what pans out.

I have a feeling this is going to be an off week for me and it's not going up to par with I normally post. Seeing how I won the first half of the year I feel the pressure is off, not that I don't care, but I can have a off week or two and not worry.

On a side note about the D7100. I finally put my 28-300 lens on the D7100. This lens is for full frame camera and was a light eater on the D90. As much as I didn't want to, I photographed a parade in auto ISO mode just playing around and the D7100 just ate it up even in DX crop mode at 300mm it looked pretty good. So it looks like I got my long reach lens back, something I been missing since I bought it. Just wish it was a f2.8 lens.

It is a toughie Rick!! You are right on Happiness and Summer... I thoughht both of those were truly Love and the sunset was also Serenity! I am sure you will come up with a Killer... this theme sujits you! :)

Like you say, you won the 1st half so "some" of the pressure is off.. You have too much pride though so I am expecting you will still turn in a killer shot! I have my other one and with work this work will not likely get another "op for love". I am not disappointed in either shot so the next couple evenings I will play with the post and then pick one of the 2..

Great to hear you got a "long range" lens back...

"Tough Love (and a dirty look)"

Experimenting with my 28-300mm I happened to come across this.

LOL Awesome Pat! When do you pick it up?

RICK has had it for about two years now. It's a 28-300 3.5 -5.6 (full frame). Been sitting in my bag because my D90 could not handle the high ISO needs of this lens. However the D7100 is just eating it up. Not that I would replace my f2.8 glass with it, but for me a nice outdoor walk around lens when I want to go out and just play.

Had it out most of the day today in sun and cloudy weather. Performed a lot better than I thought as long as I don't get greedy on the reach and subjects in motion. At f5.6 I'm running high ISO's but the D7100 and filters seam to be handling it pretty good.

Corey, it was sitting in my chair when I got home from work Wednesday... Played around learning abou it wed & thu then was on the road 2 days on the motorcycle.. Took the D5100 as was more familiar.. Yesterday, was home and used it quite a bit, getting more used to it!! I do like it!

Thanks to you and Rick for "steering" me!

Awesome! The camera is amazing and I am sure you will see a huge difference in the quality of the images and I am sure when you looked through the viewfinder it was a much clearer view with that pentaprism viewfinder with 100% coverage lol.

Take an identical picture with both cameras and pixel peep and watch that 24mp sensor shine :)

I regretfully am out of this weeks compettion... all of my work was done with the new D7100 ... but I accidentally messed up the date during the setup and it shows the photos taken this week in 2011, not 2013. (Of course the camera did not exist then) (and I did not have the camera until this week)

Anyway... I will not have time to start over and re-create this in the next 2 days.. (props are gone for one and no model for the other)

Sorry folks... I was looking forward to this one... it was tough and I worked hard to make a presentable photo...

See you all the next challenge and good luck...

Pat! Please tell me this isn't THAT kind of contest! Seriously??? You are eliminated because of a date error like that one? Is the prize a new car????
