Day 107 (17/4/2013)

Came across this garden whilst on a walk with my son Mickey on the site of what once was a pipemakers factory. It dates back to the end of the 19th century and was created by Western European immigrants who wanted a reminder of the land they had left. In their spare time, they would tend it, as well as chisel a number of stone benches, tables and pillars.

There was a push about 20 years ago to re-develop the area but when we arrived, it looked like no one had been here for years.

Day 108 (18/4/2013)

This one is for the monthly assignment. Shapes, geometry.

This is my first time using a reverse ring with my 35mm 1.8. If anyone tells you that focusing with one of these is easy, they're kidding themselves!

Day 109 (19/4/2013)

This is a classic example where the scene you see in person, doesn't reflect what the camera saw. I just loved the sun rays flooding through the leaves but when I saw it on my view finder I just couldn't do it justice.

Day 110 (20/4/2013)

I was all set to with my dslr to take some photos this afternoon. Went to turn it on and remembered I'd left my battery charging at my workstation. So, it'll be smart phone shots for the next two days.

Took the boys to a playground a little ways up the road. Tried a few landscape shots but none really worked. This one is the best of a bad bunch.

I almost went out and bought a second battery, but then realised I had no way of charging it. If I had to buy a second charger it would have started getting into the "excessive expenditure range" according to the minister of finance (wife).

Struggling to get anything uploaded today. Flat-out at work and managed to slip out for 10 minutes and capture this...

Importantly, there's always tomorrow.

Day 113 (23/04/2013)

By the time I left work this evening, it was already well after sunset. I've been meaning to capture the lights in the foyer of my building for some time, and seeing as how I hadn't taken my daily shot yet, this is what I captured.
