Day 107 (17/4/2013)
Came across this garden whilst on a walk with my son Mickey on the site of what once was a pipemakers factory. It dates back to the end of the 19th century and was created by Western European immigrants who wanted a reminder of the land they had left. In their spare time, they would tend it, as well as chisel a number of stone benches, tables and pillars.
There was a push about 20 years ago to re-develop the area but when we arrived, it looked like no one had been here for years.
