the first image on image space is bad (beige backdrop) hit the slide show icom better (black back ground) . What lens did you use?
To me angles and dangles look off. I like the shot, must have been a heck of a factory in the day to justify the dam.

They may be off. That is a total of 8 shots. The lens was the 40mm Macro. I wanted a fixed lens. I am playing with the process right now. It was getting late when I ran down the street to get the shot to play with.

The factory was in continuous production from 1838 through 2005 building cotton gins.

Re: Don's Daily Dabblings

This is more what I want from panoramas. There are time where you can't back up enough and you don't have a lens wide enough.

Before you ask...No, I can't move to the left to get a better shot. There is a building in the way. This is on the main street in downtown and the down stream backs up to the stores on main street. We have a nice creek walk there now. They actually had to put part of the sidewalk over the creek since the buildings are right up to the creek wall.

I am not sure I understand your question. The photo is horizontal

Sorry Don, not too clear apparently!! :)

The panorama is reasonably tall... I was wondering if each shot was framed Horiz or Vert, realizing the end result is a Horizontal.

Because of the number of frames, I have done each frame vert to maintain some height to the pano.

Hope that is a bit clearer... I think I know the answer now anyway :)

How many frames in the Pano...

Where is the church again? lol

I have passed that sign many times and always go past it before I have time to stop. I remembered today before I got to it so I could stop and shoot it.

What were they thinking when they made the sign?

HaHa! I absolutely love the absurdity of that sign. Thanks for making me laugh. Almost spewed my jello on my keyboard. :)

Re: Don's Daily Dabblings

These were pretty much straight out of the camera. I shot JPEG since I wanted to shoot in Continuous through the play or till the buffer filled up which was pretty fast. I did shoot one bit of video just to see how it did. Not sure if I can upload it.

Just a short clip to see how it looks.

At my Mom's house for the weekend. She has not been in her backyard for a couple of years. Someone cuts it and keeps in cleaned out for her. I decided to go out there to make sure everything is OK and this is what I found. I will be digging up a bunch of them to carry home with me,

Got a t-mount adapter for a very old 500mm Mirror lens I had many years ago for my olympus. $9 it was worth a shot. Here it is. put the adapter on and hand held it out the back door. The left is the 500 and the right is my 40mm. Follow the road up to the end to see what I was taking a picture of.
