Don's Old Daily Dabblings

Re: Don's Daily Dabblings

An old photo reworked and much better. The photo has always interested me because I do not understand it. I did not see it this way when I shot it and it was only when I got home that I realized there was something missing. I have been back there a couple of time but the trees were full and I could not even see the house. I you figure it out please tell me.

OK, I just found some of my first studio work. I set up a studio in my house and this was my niece who had been in a musical so my sister wanted me to take her picture in her costume. The little girl is in herforties now.

Was looking at a photo I had shot and noticed something in the details. The photo is not near as good as I thought it would be but there was an interesting detail when I zoom in on the water.

Not shooting is about to kill me. Looks like it may be another week before I can get the camera out and shoot. In the meantime I pulled out a old photo and cleaned it up. At least it is something.

I did shoot a few today. Two that I would like to share. For those who are into football Roman Harper of the Saints is from Prattville, AL and played at the school where my wife teaches and was in her class at one time. His father still coaches/teaches at the school. Here are a couple of shots of him at the softball game,.

I was very happy with the results straight out of the camera. These are with no Post Processing other than reducing the size. and the frame. The D5100 was very happy. Did you notice the ISO settings? This the the first time that I have set it that high. I was very happy with the results.

Thats even better don!! You and teh 5100 did well... ISO was higher than I would have gone for these shots but I have shot at 800 with good results before...

Good Job!

Re: Don's Daily Dabblings

I was leaving before the game was over and it was starting to get some shadows across the field. My wife was taking over the camera so that was the reason it was set up that way. After looking at the pictures though I think it was the right call. The D5100 is an amazing piece of tech.
