Dear UPS,

Why oh why is it that no matter what I have shipped to my house, FedEx has it here by 10:30am but the brown truck doesn't get here till after 2pm? Why is it that the FedEx guy always smiles and calls me by name? When all I get from you is a "Here you go." if you even make it here before I go to work.

How could you be so heartless dear UPS. As I sit looking out my living room window. Not daring to hope so that you can't crush them. Oh wait...was that the doorbell?!

No....no it wasn't.....

No....no it wasn't.....

Recently I had ordered a bird cage and it was being delivered by UPS. The cage was 56 pounds. This was during the time that my leg was broken so it was going to be hard for me to bring it in the house. I have three little dogs that alert me that someone is near the house so when they started barking I went to the front door and saw the big brown truck out front. I opened the door and was standing there on crutches with a cast on my leg. As the driver was walking to the door I said that I was glad to see him and asked if he would mind setting it just inside the door instead of on the porch. He did not say a word or even make eye contact with me. He sat it on the porch 2 feet from where I was standing and turned around and walked very fast back to his truck. Needless to say I though that was about the worse customer service I had ever seen. Two extra steps to sit it inside the door and he would not have even had to come inside the house to do that.

You are right. UPS seems to have changed over the years. Nowadays they seem to just deliver packages, and that's it. The customer service just seems non existent.

When I was in business we had service just about every day and had the same driver. ON hot days I would have a cold drink waiting for him and on cold days I had a hot cup of chocolate for him. He took care of us very well. I think it is a lot like any other business/service. It depends on the employee. Management can help by emphasizing customer service but even that does not help with some people.

Hope you got yours today because I got mine. Thanks for forcing me to get one, LOL, I have been looking at these for a while.

wait till you look through the online manual. I think these things can control NASA command center.

i havent been home yet. But it did show up 20 minutes after I went to work. How are you liking it?

Let me know how you like it for photography. I only tries my daughters once and it was not as intuitive to me but I have been using a trackball for so many years it feels like it is part of my hand sometimes

Oh why did I not buy this thing sooner? Now this is how you should control a computer. This Wacom Intuos Touch tablet is freaking awesome! The only thing you have to remember is when using the pen, where you are at on the pad is where your pointer is at on the screen. It is completely opposite of a mouse where you sometimes have to do the pick it up an double move because you ran out of room technique. If you want to click on something in the lower left corner, use the pen and click the lower left corner of the pad. Freaking simple.

Plus the touch controls (Finger not pen) turn it into a huge touchpad from a laptop. Working on a photo is sweet. See a problem you want to clone out? Just draw over it with the pen. that simple. None of that click and move stuff.

It took me roughly 10 minutes to get used to the idea of not clicking and dragging stuff. Sliders are now just a simple flick of the wrist. Single tap down and move. Everything is just so precise. No more of the broad gestures you get when using a mouse. The control this thing allows is insane.

It is crazy helpful using masks and adjustment brushes. It feels more natural to paint the mask in using the pen than the mouse. Also it really improves the control, and I find the hand eye coordination is much better for me. I usually feel disorientated when trying to draw straight precise lines or circles with a mouse. But this thing is just like using a pen and paper.

As you can tell I am completely thrilled with this purchase. Easily one of the best purchases I have made photography wise that did not deal with camera equipment. I would almost go as far to say this thing is a must for people that use a lot of masks and things. Touch ups on portraits are another thing this is amazing on. The control and ease of use is really far superior than a mouse.

I will keep updating my findings as I delve deeper into what this thing can really do.

I let it charge last night and then hooked it up this morning to install software. After it was installed I setup the wireless and it works great. Just have to get used to it.

- on thing in the video, you know how you have to pick you mouse up to keep moving across the screen, well this thing you dont have to. it feels different but I can see how it would be useful on a large monitor.

- the clicking on the pen will take a few trys to get used to it.

- this is not a full review, only playing with it while going through the training video

So far I think I am going to like it. I have a very good mouse and it was a toss up between the trackball and this pad. I went with the pad because I can also use my fingers like on a trackpad, so that was another thing I wished I had on my desktop like my mac laptop. This is a really cool feature and I know some dont like the trackpad. It took me a while to get my wife used to it, she didn't feel right without a mouse but she prefers the trackpad now.

- one other thing I like is the portability of this, if I want to sit back in my chair I just put in it my lap like a notepad

All in all at this early stage i think its going to be a great add

And from what I can tell you can customize this thing to do just about anything you want and it works with photoshop which is a plus. One other thing that was nice, if you dont have photoshop it comes with Photoshop elements free.

The Wacom in all its tiny glory! It is sitting on an open file cabinet drawer.(I have a seriously small room. Roughly 9X10. And my bed takes up most the space. So I have learned to improvise....

This thing really trows some light off it. And the metallic colors are awesome. Maybe a CPL is in order. Think it would help?

And finally a Boxwood.
