I purchased the Sigma 150-600mm Contemporary lens. There wasn't much wildlife out in the afternoon cold, so mountains it is.
Stitched panorama of San Jacinto. There was a wall in the way. Next time I go out, I will try to get a better view.

Congratulations on your new lens. The Sigma 150-600 Contemporary is one heck of a lens. I love mine!

Thanks, Brent. So far, I like it a lot. I am going to test it out on a tripod, but i am pretty sure I am going to keep it. I want to order a monopod and new head. Looking forward to seeing what i can do with it.

test affinity default change in black point
I think that explains why every image I post is darker than it looks in the editing program. There was some black point compensation default. ???

When you had your new lens on the dock did you notice you can set different focus speeds, i think the default is medium but you can choose the fast one.

@mikew. No, I haven't really investigated all of the capabilities. I need to reconnect it and look at it again. I am guessing I have to set a faster speed on the custom control.
I will give it a go.
Thanks

I have been seeing a couple brown hummingbirds land in my neighbor's palm trees. Today I saw a couple hummingbirds chasing each other around the Jacaranda trees. I think they nest in there.
Going to put feeders out tomorrow and see what lands on them. Sorry, kinda bad image.

Still figuring out this lens. The eyes were very soft, but I like this one anyway.
