This is my first entry into the Triptych Challenge.

View attachment 25488

Shot with 18-55 lens at 22 mm, F10, 1/640, ISO 100 into the Sun, while freezing various parts of my anatomy.

Used lightened copy of image for background, Silver Efex for the BW, CS6 for the rest. Had a lot of fun learning new things (for me) in CS. Used Steve Patterson Tutorials from Photoshop Essentials.com.

Rick S. got me to thinking when I saw his Filmstrip Triptych, so this is mostly his fault. I will take the blame for over-cooking, and errors that you see, but I had fun, and rather than delete it, I thought I would post it, tell you a little about it, to try to give back a small drop of the tremendous help I have received here. You have no idea.

Exif can be seen using any Exif viewer, and my permission is freely given to download this image for that purpose. The viewer I like is Jeffrey's Exif Viewer, you can find it for free at:
Jeffrey's Exif viewer=

All you need is his viewer in your browser, and a copy of the image on your hard drive, and then just link to it via his software, and you will learn more than you ever wanted to know! LOL (If you can make sense out of the history for this image using Jeffrey's viewer, you are a genius, and I salute you! ;) )

Good job!!

This is one of the quilts Mom made for me. One of the few that she bought material for. Most of hers were what is called Scrappy quilting. I am looking for creative ways to put together pictures of the many quilts she made.

I call this Crystal Skulls

For Christmas I got a crystal bottle, full of vodka, it is empty now. For this I filled it with blue water, and took three photos, (actually probably closer to 23, to get the right shots lol) and used the in-camera color sketch function, and photo shop for the rest. I had so much fun with this, it is kind of outside the box. I hope no one is creeped out by the subject! Lol

Entry #2. A local collects and refurbishes lots of Ford and Coca Cola paraphernalia. He displays it in this old garage in Gering, NE.

Been contemplating a couple different ones. This is one that I really wanted to do but it shows me I need some work, and equipment, to help with my "studio" lighting.

Guitar Tryptic - Entry #1 (please note that EXIF copyright states 2012 - these were shot on January 26, 2013)
