Ok here is my first attempt ever at a Tryptich, all photos are unedited straight from camera.
I decided to get 80 - 400mm VR out on an over cast day to see what settings I would need for Africa lol.

It sure is nice to see all these nice entries. Keep them coming. Don't forget you are allowed 3 entries.

I'm envious of some of these. We have such beautiful views here in Utah, but with the weeks on end of inversion the air is brown, the mountains just a mile away are now hidden, and this weather is not slated to change for weeks.

Alan, very nice... common theme, color pallet matches and I like the composition of 1 larger picture..

I played with this a lot, different sizes, different angles, etc.... but this seemed to suit my eye best.

I'm one mod you don't need to thank for this challenge, Kimmie. I had nothing to do with this at all. This is Marcel's baby, and Dave W's idea. Great shots from all the entries so far though, eh! :) Love it!

Don't go and blame it all on me and Dave Jack. If I remember correctly, it was Helene's idea that won us.

This is my first entry into the Triptych Challenge: "Lake of the Ozarks"(To make finding my entries easy, I think I will include them below this image...when I get them done...)

Lake of the Ozarks Triptcht.jpg

Shot with 18-55 lens at 22 mm, F10, 1/640, ISO 100 into the Sun, while freezing various parts of my anatomy.

Used lightened copy of image for background, Silver Efex for the BW, CS6 for the rest. Had a lot of fun learning new things (for me) in CS. Used Steve Patterson Tutorials from Photoshop Essentials.com.

This is my second entry in the Triptych Challenge: "Spotlight on Memories"

Spotlight on Memories small.jpg

Shot with 18-55 lens at 52mm, F14, 1/15, ISO 100 on tripod with home made light box. Background shot same lens, F8, 50mm, 1/200, ISO 100. Used Photomatix and Silver Efex for effect. (Made error in copyright date, and substituted copy of image with correct year...) Whew!

Here is my third entry into the Triptych Challenge:

Truman Lake Triptych.jpg

Images shot with 18-55 lens, at various settings, CS6, Photomatix, Silver Efex.
