I have some frosty mint that I think turned out ok so will post it when I get a chance to have a look at them :) Guess it depends where you live but we've had snow before Halloween each of the 4yrs we've lived here. Last year we went trick of treating and we were dodging snowmobilers who were pulling sleds on the roads with kids hopping off and on at the houses.... No pics of it though because I didn't have a cool Nikon :p

I wasn't sure about posting this one but thought I'd see if anyone could help with my horrid attempts at window light portraits
Martin in a horse stall for his bi-annual grooming session
So window light (small window faces north so no direct light) and being a horse stall overhead lighting would be dangerous so no light there
I lowered my in camera flash to -3 and turned my camera to portrait position so that flash was directed to his back and I crouched down as low and far back as I could

It seemed to need some softening with that fairly monochrome colour so tried edge blur. Colouring too cool?

My iphoto doesn't stitch photos so I fiddled and played and got it as matched up as I could separately. It was late afternoon so the sun was over my right shoulder so there are more shadows and darker on the right side. I live on the plateau to the right way back behind the trees and farther to the right.

My poultry keeper monster was very excited to find a grouse on our walk yesterday. She was in the deep shubbery and hard to find a break to get a shot but she was very nice and flew up in a tree to watch us watching her. She's pretty camouflaged

I couldn't get the attachment to work mikew. Wish it would though because I absolutely don't mind at all!

I'm ALWAYS open to any thoughts or ideas. It's easier to sit back critique and think how you'd do something differently with someone elses work. I find it harder to do with my own and everytime someone has given a thought or suggestion it has gotten me thinking and learning more. I'm ALWAYS open to any and all critiques because its the only way to grow. My family just tells me everything is good so not very good critics

Thanx Scott I probably only allowed for 15% overlap when I took my shots so when I get some sort of software I'll keep that in mind. I cropped it to match as best I could before posting because I was using this site to stick my photos together by not adding a space between them. Now I see mikew did a really great job since he didn't have much to overlap!

1C and clear outside, finally a nice clear night and Aurora is taking a break so just going out to throw hay and leave my camera in the house tonight. This morning was -4 and heavy fog so had to scrape the windows booo

mikew I just clipped and cleaned up my alpacas maybe we can get piperbarb to whip Don up something to keep him cozy and warm in that chilly weather he's having LOL
