And I'll call this
PLEASE don't get up there! Oh please don't get up! (that's what I was chanting as I tried to figure out how I going to keep from ending up in the water or my camera soaked if she got up)

Soaking up the rays
Martin never fails to stop my heart as I look out and see him sprawled out like this. Any other critter you'd see the chest moving and know they're fine but he's completely still as he lays out soaking up the sun. Not to mention that he and his buddy are ancient so I always worry about them. Wish he'd had more handling when he was young so catching them wasn't so hard on all of us

That's some smile :)

Driving through BC on labour day weekend

On our last road trip I was not driving instead I had my hand on the shutter for almost the entire 12+hr trip. Here's some of my drive by shootings :)
2hrs after leaving orchard/wine country we stopped at a lake for some summertime fun

Scott Canada is a beautiful country :) I've lived on both coasts and both are so different and beautiful in their own ways. If you're heading to Alaska you'll be heading through my current hometown

After capturing this I noticed something up farther along the river. Hubby got truck and trailer slowed down and pulled over for me I pulled out my monopod and captured some bear play

Even with a monopod it was too much for me and my 70-300mm. The semi trucks flying by on the hwy create quite a wind :( Oh well we watched bears playing in the river

Thanx Roy I'm trying :) The thrill of seeing a shot coming and waiting for a break in the trees was great fun. I missed a few because sometimes there just wasn't a break in the trees but for me it was great fun when I was able to get my settings correct (use only M) and capture the shot the way I wanted with a tiny break in trees and going 100+kms hr who needs video games LOL I have some mountains, a few glaciers, moose and hopefully some deer photos to go through and post still

Ok well didn't make it as far as glaciers last night when sorting through my photos.
So this next group is as we headed up towards and into the southern end of Wells Gray Provincial Park

Can't believe I caught this across vehicle and out drivers window but thought it pretty great. I need PP software cause my removal of sign sucks!
