These next series of images aren't well composed or anything as I had no way to move around now and the older pics were before my class but they tell a story
The mtns are melting fast
First is taken on Easter Sunday my son walking along the snow covered river bed of the Fraser with other people playing out under the train bridge
The same train bridge now and the water has already started to recede which is why the road is open now so I could stand and take this
The road I am standing on was closed when the water was even higher
Another view of the river bed on Easter Sunday
Up above the trees on the right is a big grassy area and farther up a big parking lot for those walking/jogging along the river pathways
Here I am standing on the path along the parking lot shooting at the ducks down in the riverbed below
Wow was my sensor filthy for these pics! yikes
Now here is the road down to the parking lot
A closer view of the parking lot using my 300mm
Thats a garbage can lid (no wonder they're so locked down to the ground!) and one of the wooden posts to keep vehicles off the pathway
An even closer cropped view of the garbage to give an idea of depth and that is some VERY fast moving water
A little farther up the small river that empties into the Fraser
I took this pic about 3 weeks ago as the kids and I talked about watching their school burn
Here is the same path to nowhere now
And taking a few steps back
The path to nowhere is on the other side of the concrete block to the left. To the right is the parking lot and straight ahead is a pathway we take often
