Yesterday as exciting as we woke up to peeping in the incubator!
1 fuzzy, 1 newly hatched (still wet), 1 almost out with bill poking out of shell (behind fuzzy one) and the grey up front is cracked and duckling working its way out
Taken through the old plexiglass and using flashlight for light :)
just a snap of new lives beginning

Fuzzy photo shoot today. No wonder I never have any idea how many ducks I have they NEVER stay still! Window light and tried playing with my Sb-700

2 are huge because they hatched 6 days ago and a couple are still tiny because they hatched out late last night. A couple of hours makes a big difference they grow SO incredibly fast!

keep the fuzzy pic coming. I was at a local farm store, they had several water tubs full different chicks, ducks, turkeys and bunnies. Heart says take them home, brain says a new lens will be cheep cheep er. :)

Yes nine little duckies 7 hatched yesterday and 2 last weekend. The one with funky feet in top pic is the fuzzy one in the incubator yesterday. Also have 3 chicks but not as cute :)

siamthai1 I got some amazing portraits today of my 2 youngest kids snuggling the ducklings and yes my kids LOVE to snuggle them. I got a funny one of my youngest son getting a kiss from a duckling hehe Sadly they just grow so darn darn fast and by 3.5wks they'll be mostly full grown. Gotta get the cute love and snuggles in now while tiny

Piperbarb chicks are cute when first born but even then very brutal creatures and I'm not really a fan of them. Ducklings are loving and snuggly creatures but chicks UGH they are horrid mean things. However, I love my son who loves his chickens and the nasty ones just taste so much sweeter (insert evil laugh)

Slave labour LOL They're sitting on a tire which is on top of chainlink fencing which I use to spread my horsey deposits. They're my weights to hold it down and let me tell you with a hard dry clay ground after horses have been running on it when it was wet... it is BUMPY! Takes a long time with our tiny tractor and it is was HOT (28C is 82F) and seriously dusty dirty. Had to let them try driving on their own to make it a bit more fun
