Lol nope horses hiding behind the barn today :)

But the firepit and seating is under there and that is a tall 3 rail fence not a very short 2 rail fence :p

Oh should add those huge chubby chickens under the tree aren't there either but one is roasting in my oven MMM smells good

A cat in a good home has a life, that us cat servants (aka owners) can only dream of.

Here's my puddy tat, hope you don't mind me posting a pic in your thread.

Oh Marilynne he's just fine but when I picked him up from his former (disgusting) home I was told he was neutered but wasn't told it was very very recent! He's since licked himself open again with his cleaning so I got him a collar to curb his licking and allow his body to fully heal. He just wasn't happy about his collar but it is best for him but as you can see he realized he could relax just fine with it on. It's a rough life for a kitty

No worries about your addition Rexer John I don't mind at all nice kitty cat  My kitties should go out and rid my coops of rodents but instead are found sunning themselves in front of my window LOL I also have a big kitty tree like yours but nope they're stretched across couches, and chairs. It's a terribly rough life hehe

Hauled LOTS of water today so my waterfowl could do some splashing in the sunshine. They only got small puddles to splash in as they're still up on 12+ inches of hard packed snow

Alot of water flying in their happiness

The geese had sooooo much fun today in their new pool. Hauling the 40gallons of water after already filling the 3 heated water buckets and 2 smaller pools for the ducks was not much fun though. The garden area where the geese is MUCH deeper snow as it's close to the driveway leaving it to get the snow blown all winter and its sheltered with the green house, duck and pony shelter on one side and the house on the other so the snow just sits there. I have a 4ft fence around the garden area and then there is electric fence strung up above that to keep horsey heads from helping themselves to my garden in greener months :) So that tub is sitting up on about 4ft of hard packed snow

Marilynne the male is the white one taking over the pool. Pilgrims have white males and grey females so as goslings and adults you can easily see who's male and female. The brown one is also a female but she is a different breed she's a Buff :) Today I was taking pics of the ice table hubby took out of their pool after our -19 night

Tracsoft have you used a goose down duvet? If you ever get a chance to dig your fingers inside a gooses feathers go for it (just make sure its held REAL tight LOL them wings are brutal!). The layers and layers of feathers are amazing and they LOVE this time of year. These girls are 3yrs old now and the male 2yrs. The first year I had the girls and the ducks in an insulated coop with a sheltered run and they hated it. I'd go out and it'd be -35-39 and I'd shoo them into the coop and out they come to lay on the ice. In the summer I worry more about heat and have kiddie pools all over the yard for them to splash in and cool off. We have many many wild Mallards that live year round here which is amazing to me they are able to feed themselves. My ducks and geese are very well fed and have shelters if they want to get out of wind etc so they do very well even in our arctic like weather :)

Nikonpup canadian geese are smaller than these guys :) And if you seen what they do to their water in seconds you would not want any of that Bwahahaha

Thanx Roy1961 I had my 70-300mm lens on for those pics and I was too close so even at 70mm I cropped his lovely wings :( More to learn and I'm sure I'll get more chances to try again. WHite on white is hard so looking forward to white on green :)

feathers on the snow
my family rolled their eyes and told it was ridiculous to take pics of feathers and snow
but it caught my eye and I tried a few angles and a few different settings but much later realized I should have taken my CPOL filter off :(

I liked the angle of the tree shadow on this one

this got a snap because it was so darn exciting!! I found green! I found an earthworm! A real live earth worm!
