Brain freeze- Snaphappy playing & learning

I think I'm really going to enjoy this lens and can't wait to play with a bit more.
So from my research on wide angles I know I need to watch that I keep my camera level. Is there anything else I should try out so I get more familiar with a wide angle?

I really like the angle of these. It is a different perspective and really works.
Thanx Don I was really just wanting to play and see how a wide angle works, distortion, perspective etc so was trying different things to see what happens. I've been researching but had to try things and see what actually happens. I really didn't go out of my way to worry about composition etc I was more interested in what happens when I try different focus lengths, angles etc.
I kept my aperture at F8 since by my playing with it when buying, I found F8 to be the sweet spot and wanted to see sharpness of this lens. My sun has disappeared and looking like we're about to get more snow so will try out other apertures another day. I really think it will be fun to play and learn with
Damn why did my photos stop showing up again!!! Don't understand why this happens sometimes???

IDK nikonpup they show up for me now. I don't know what I'm suddenly doing wrong since I'm doing same thing I always do without issue. Uploading from my Mac so maybe your Windows program has suddenly decided to not like them

Did you chose any options differently when double clicking on them? I noticed with the old photos I couldn't change the options for some reason.
No Jdeg I just upload, double click and choose medium. They showed when I originally loaded them but when I came back to page to respond to the email I got with Dons reply I noticed they just said attachment and no photo. I deleted and reloaded and they're still showing on page for me

More 12-24mm playing and learning
Had a beautiful fiery sky this am but mucked it up, then had big plans to watch sunrise over the city from up on university hill but sun has yet to show itself through the clouds which are preparing to unload another 25cms on us today.
So here's one I took yesterday afternoon
Scout seems to be completely fine after getting his head stuck in a leg trap. Wish I hadn't sat on the snowy stair though because I had myself a wet butt the rest of the afternoon
After this mornings failures I give you felines
Getting attention of a deaf cat is impossible!
Rascally kitty won the highest perch this morning, its a rough life
Both feline photos were 24mm F4. I see that yes I will have to watch the level of my camera when using this 12-24mm its quite obvious why in Rascals photo
Guess others weren't as excited about my 12-24mm playing yesterday. That's ok I learned what not to do with people photos hehe Can you imagine if I did some of those things taking people photos LOL I love how sharp it is and playing with it is fun.

This afternoon I removed my new lens and put on my 50D to get some shots of my monsters winter concert. It's hours later and I'm still annoyed by people.
It's amazing the things kids will come up with when allowed to be creative. Cultural studies is a strong part of the Montessori program so we have a Winter concert not a Christmas concert and kids are allowed a lot of creative license in their classrooms to put on any performance they want.
Anyways, I won't bother ranting about what made me grumpy
This was a DARK performance and all lights turned off but this happened at least 5 times!

We had another snowfall warning so here's a road with a plow at work. They were scraping the hard packed layer of snow off the roadway to prepare for more snow
Our road hadn't been scraped yet you can still see the hard packed icy streaks with new snow on top
