Not often I get a bird of prey with prey.:)

You should sit out in my backyard. We have a bird feeder, and the hawks check it out almost every day. Quite frequently I will find a pile of feathers in the grass. :( One time a hawk was on top of a pigeon, but when I ran out the door, the hawk took off. It was only 3 feet from the house and flew right into the siding! It dropped the wounded pigeon--the pigeon was barely able to clear the fence but did get away. Although I know it is the circle of life for this to happen, I dislike seeing it as I try to keep the other birds fed.

Hitting the trails with Lilly. We're both getting a little round in the belly.

I like a lot of your compositions, Pete, but there is some haloing going on around many of your subjects. I don't know if it has to do with how you are editing your photos--possibly using a brush on the subjects? You can see it around Lilly's head, chest, and back. She's a beautiful dog! :)
