I would, but for some reason the "oil paint " is grayed out in my PS. I'll google for a solution later.

I had the same problem when the oil paint feature was first discussed here. I think it was Marcel who came up with the solution. Mine works now. Check back to the posts where the feature was first mentioned.

No go for me. I did everything that was suggested in the thread but the oil paint effect was still greyed out. (I'm on CC with the latest updates).

Since you got me thinking about this, I downloaded a free trial of Topaz Impression and came up with this. It's nice to play with, but for $99.00 I think I'll pass on it as I know I won't be using it that much.

Absolutely fantastic!!! :) And I like the style better than the swirled lines that Photoshop's oil paint feature leaves.

Topaz has some really nice plugins/standalone programs. The real nice thing is that they are all very fast responding. None of them that I have tried so far were sluggish at all.

I checked them out after you posted the photo edited by Topaz, but their prices are really expensive.
