I miss cold weather as it never gets cold here :-( but not sure about having snow all the time.

Score One More Species!! Spotted this Red Necked Grebe (wintering here) this afternoon on the Susquehanna River. I had read a post on a birding newsletter that a pair had been spotted over the last week. Stood in about a foot of snow in 25 degree weather for about 30 minutes when this one floated by on the current. (along with a lot of seagulls)

Got another one...These Horned Larks were in a snowy farmers field with a group of crows. Shot this from the drivers seat.

Nice catch on the horned Larks!! the birders down here have been goin crazy looking for them at Barnegat inlet,I have yet to see them

Thanks for the nice words guys. I have been watching for them as I drive through farmlands around here. There have been different reports of them being in the area and I was just luck today.

It is wet and flowing, just under the ice and snow.

Prepping for the next storm tonight. Possible 12 inches of snow, sleet etc, etc. etc. Made sure everything is in running order.

Hope you don't need to use that generator. We had to live off one for 14 days during Hurricane Wilma. Not fun at all.
