Thanks...I was looking for Green Herons who hang out there and found this guy instead. Saw one on the other side but couldn't get a shot off.

I'd say it's about 12 inches. It's a baby painted. Good place for him as the lake is also home to Snapping turtles and he would be a quick snack. That unfortunately is what happens to many of the baby ducks and geese around here.

Even the one I just posted disappeared but ones I posted on other threads including today are there. Don't know what's up
