This is the life, a quick nap while fishing, none of that walking in the water stuff for me.

This Juvenile was testing out his wings until he fell off his branch and crashed into the lower part of the tree.

Yes, they're not very agile (is that the correct word?) sometimes.

He hopped further back into the tree and kinda looked around like "did anyone see me do that?"

American Coot, about the size of a chicken, along with chicken feet!

Green Heron, cropped this pretty tight as he was on the other side of the lake. I was lucky to see him fly in or I would have never known he was there.

Thanks Roy. The Egret was fishing and all of a sudden he decided to move over about 5 feet. I was lucky to get the shot off as i didn't expect him to do that.

Around here Green herons are rare. First time I have ever seen two together.

Actually spotted this one flying in over the lake right after I got the shot of the other two. He only sat there about a minute and then took off across the lake again.

Belly up to the bar boys. Mallards and an American Coot.

Happened to see this Muskrat out in the middle of the lake.
