I'm an old farm boy too... the biggest problem was milking them :p
We just had Holsteins and one Jersey of course. Did not mind the cows but I sure hated the chickens. Since then my motto as always been, the only good chicken is a Kentucky Fried Chicken.

I have not seen any Ring-necked Pheasants in this area for years. I had heard that the state was releasing some over the last couple of years. Saw this today and took these drive by shots out the window.

This shot of the bird is the greatest angle and expression I have ever seen of a bird shot. Awesome Capture!

Thank you. I took about 4 of him looking down at me and this one just seemed to have an expression that spoke to me. It is so much fun to go see these birds and they seem to know that you cannot get up the tree to hurt them.

Sad side of nature. These Heron eggs either fell out of the nest or were taken by a predator. Either way they did not hatch.
