Adobe's Compromise?

But that isn't what you wrote. :D
I am not going to get into a spitting match about this and what I wrote. I did reread my post and I do not see where I was referring to the cloud at all. To summarize shat I did say was if you stop paying the subscription, the software you downloaded will stop working after a certain period of time and you will lose the ability to use the files you created/edited/whatever with their software. Other people have discussed the cloud storage issue.

THIS is NOT technically correct.

The files you create/save are saved on your hard drive and can be synced to their cloud. You do not have too sync and or store YOUR files on their cloud.

Your files are intact, at all times, on your computer. You do not lose any capability to work on, or use YOUR files with any other software... Your NEF files, Jpegs, etc, are all intact on YOUR computer. No one is extorting anything from you. No one is preventing you from using YOUR files for any purpose.

If you cancel the subscription, you obviously do NOT get to continue to use their software at some point...

None of this has anything to do with the CLOUD... The Cloud is an option... You do not have too use the option. The software works entirely without any Cloud usage.
