    Monopod suggestions

I still have one of those Bogen 3021 heads. It's definitely a heavy duty head. Right now I have a Manfrotto monopod head on my monopod, but its weight limit of around 5 pounds leaves a lot to be desired. I don't use a monopod very often, but if I decide to get a different monopod head, it will...

    Post your latest purchases.

I'm really interested in trying composites so I purchased this reversible Chroma Green/Blue background that's on sale through today. I only purchased the background, but they also have a kit which includes a stand and a clamp (both of which I already own)...

Post your computer background suitable pictures

This is one of my favorite landscape images. It rained earlier so the leaves were still wet. And that means colors can be more saturated than normal. Even to the naked eye, the colors were stunning. Although I haven't switched my computer wallpaper, this one would work well for me.

    hark 2022

A friend asked me to go on an errand with her, and on our way home, I spotted a small fox in a place I've never photographed. So when I got home, I grabbed my camera and headed back. Unfortunately I didn't see any foxes but saw this woodchuck. It was sitting in the exact same place as the fox...

    Post Your Birds (3)

@wev - I've mentioned this previously. I don't see in 3D so what I see is probably the same as when people look at a photo (2-dimensional). Yet when I see many of your images, there is a depth to many of them that is more realistic than what I see when I look around. Once in a while, it happens...

Post your favorite May 2022 shot

This was only my second time attending a parade (Memorial Day Parade here in the USA) although I marched in around a dozen during high school (piccolo in the marching band). It was humbling to see so many veterans participating in it. I shared the images on social media since I took them more...

    hark 2022

I don't know if any of you have heard of the Pennsbury Prom. Reader's Digest once called it the best Prom in America. Prom is held at the high school. Huge murals adorn the walls only for one night - based on a theme determined by the graduating class a year earlier. It's like walking into a...

I think there is a photo here. I just can't find it in my viewfinder.

As I was on my way home from an errand, I passed by this lake. Coincidentally it offered a similar view to the original image except for the lake vs the grass and road. I didn't have my camera with me but went home and got it making sure I had my 16-35mm lens. So I took the first pic to...
