Almost. With a monopod, one tends to angle the monopod … for example if you’re shooting in front, then the leg foot will be forward, the monopod sloping backwards to the camera…so you’re own legs become the rear two of an effective tripod. Now yiu swing to a target left of you. Your monopod now...

All I need is an extension, if there is one for Safari. I know all about the other browsers, so thank you, but I NEED a Safari extension if there is one. I only care about Safari….no other browser nor app, just Safari. I appreciate the recommendations as you’re trying to help. thanks

its the extension for Safari that I'd like. The Chrome extension works but I don't like chrome - that's personal taste. As I use Safari 100% of the time, then an extension to show exif data makes sense. I have searched but found nothing ... only apps to download to my mac, I dont need an app to...

Thats Firefox, and I see it on Chrome. I suspect Apple wants control of what extentions Safari uses.

no wildlife where I live - my cats don't fly without help. Here's a TV antenna on a neighbours house. No processing, the first image is as 360mm then I cropped it 100% or so, then the third is at 1200mm TBH for a non-S lens, this is pretty pleasing! #1 #2 #3

This rotating mount is an alternative, but I wonder if it will put too much stress on the mount. It attaches to the base of the camera. https://www.smallrig.com/SmallRig-Rotatable-Horizontal-to-Vertical-Mount-Plate-Kit-for-Nikon-Specific-Z-Series-Cameras-4306.html

My dealer started a wish list ages ago, so when it was announced I went into their list ..and left a 10% deposit. This is in London, England. They called 3 weeks ago for full payment, and anyone they called, was in that batch…the first! And I’m not NPS either. so I could have had it Friday 1st...

    Alternative to Wimberley Monogimbel head

I’ve used the wimberley head for years … 6 years with DSLRs and the F 200-500 on a monopod, then 3 years with a Z6 and now the Z8 with the z70-200 But those lenses have a collar ring that allows the camera to freely rotate making using the wimberley a joy. But now I have a z180-600 and the...

I went two years ago. Then I used a D7500 with the 200-500 attached and a monopod with a wimberley monogimbel (see Steve Perry’s video ) was a must with that heavy lens. A filter on the front lets you wipe off any sea spray without worry about your front element. A dry bag if you’re using...

Should I shoot JPG or RAW?

Anyone telling you it’s unprofessional is nuts. You produce great work that your clients like. That‘s what a professional does. Taking a raw image does offer you opportunities that a jpeg can’t, for instance recovering shadows or whatever, but it also adds quite a big and time consuming couple...

    Marilynne's Wetlands and Other Stuff - 2023

sadly no. :-( The red one I brought back to the UK. I eventually sold it to a nurse - she and her husband were into American cars and loved it, A few months later I saw her at a filling station. They needed the money and sold it! Had I known, I'd have had it back. Ah well. I still drive...
