Will I benefit much by going from D750 to D810?

I have both... I have to force myself to use the D750... To me...it's like hunting with a BB gun... You never know when an elephant crosses your path, and you'll need that big gun...

Lightroom Update with AI Denoise Built In

I played with it for a few minutes this morning... It'll be okay in the next two or three updates...It took a full 3 minutes to process a single image in LF classic with my M1 Mac... I like the granularity of Topaz's control... Adobe's basically has a single control... and only works on certain...

Exact Focus Mode For this RAW File

The image was shot at 100 ISO, 160th/sec F4 in what appears to be Continuous Focus mode, because there are 4 focus points in the image. 3 on the hat and in the that vicinity, and 1 focus point on her forehead... so you had multiple points active...

    Photos using D5100 - feedback/suggestion wanted

As mentioned, Back-lite scenes like yours, I switch to Matrix metering.... The majority of my stuff is done with spot metering, but you need to be able to switch metering modes when lighting changes...

    Photos using D5100 - feedback/suggestion wanted

I primarily use Adobe's Lightroom Classic, DXO PureRaw 3, and Topaz's products. I do beta testing for Topaz... Everything goes through Lightroom for the cataloguing feature... Over the last 20 years, my catalogue has over 30,000+ images...

    Photos using D5100 - feedback/suggestion wanted

You can sharpen the images in post processing a bit... here's working with your JPG image... there's more range with a RAW file... I couldn't do much with your CONTRAST image because the JPG has limited range and I didn't have a RAW file... It's way over exposed and there's loss of detail...

    Kodachrome turns 50

:D 😅🤣 Kodachrome was introduced in 1935... Slighty more than 50 years ago... Paul Simon's song Kodachrome (an illusion to a distorted reality) was released in May 1973... 50 years ago...

    What about Topaz mask?

Unfortunately, Topaz Mask is in the discontinued realm... There hasn't been a beta or an update in quite a while...Topaz is trying to add the Mask elements to its other 3 products, and as soon as they do, mask will be removed...

And sometimes the bear eats you

I like it... The surf lines give it a sense of motion at the bottom 1/3 of the image... it also grounds the image... Trees grow out of the ground...there's something distracting in the previous image with no ground to hold the tree...

    Focus shifting (landscape)

My typical workflow is to add all the NEF images to a separate folder... and then use a RAW viewer to look at the images... for Focus stacking I typically select an area in front of the near point, and an area beyond the far point... that results in images in front of and behind where I want...

    Focus shifting (landscape)

Yes... Basically, you set all the parameters in camRanger... focal length, fstop, iso etc... then select the near and far points... and it displays the number of shots... you then hit the "start" button, and it starts taking the shots... Similar process to the Z camera's focus shifting... You...

    Focus shifting (landscape)

Then you would simply select the clouds as the far point... When I say "select" you are using a cell phone or tablet as the remote tether/viewer, and you're actually "tapping" the screen... Tap the near point on the screen and then tap the far point on the screen... If the far point is infinity...

    Focus shifting (landscape)

I use camRanger 2 for focus shifting... tap the two focus points, (near and far) and camRanger does all the calculations and just goes to work...
