April-fooled again. DAMN! (file selfie)

It's a Wimberley WH-200 gimbal. Allows you to perfectly balance camera/lens so it can move in horizontal/vertical axis as if it's suspended/floating in air.

I've used mine on a monopod, but the ball head with a huge lens is not optimal. I don't mind hand holding to shoot, but holding the kit when I'm not shooting is a pain. Most of my shooting with this lens is done from specific locations, where I'm not walking around. Here's my BIF setup waiting...

Gloomy day here today and I had a few minutes to kill, so I tried out my new Wimberley gimbal in the back yard. Yeah, I've got a Bengal tiger guarding my estate. :) Unfortunately, he's scaring off the birds. :hurt:

My birding combo - 7200 w/200-500. So far, I'm good with birds on a stick. Looking forward to spring so I can learn how to use this rig for BIF. Lots different than shooting with the 70-200.

It's snowing in St. Louis, so I stepped out back and caught this owl in my neighbor's tree. SOOC and shot at 20,000 ISO.

Not much luck during a brief shoot yesterday. Had to get out though, 'cause the sky was clear and the temp was moderate.
