This gal is protecting her nest, which she built in the parking lot behind my bar, next to a demolition project. I'm not much of a bird expert, but I've never seen a bird like this around St. Louis. Can anyone ID?

Something a bit different. I live on a street with a cul de sac and tonight an EMT vehicle and firetruck were down the street from me. It's been a while since I shot out of focus colored lights, so I had a go with the 200-500. SOOC. Guess how many blades the lens has...:)
