I have set up the camera exactly as you suggest mainly for BIF however, on this occasion I was so entranced by the behavior of these foxes I forgot to change settings until just before they disappeared into the trees. This was the last shot which I discovered after I posted the others.

Will the either of these TC's work with the AF-S VR 70-300 f/4.5-5.6 IF-ED lens? This combination is not listed on the Nikon compatibility chart that I looked at.
