When I came out of work at the University this afternoon, I went out of my way to find out what the commotion was all about.

THIS IS NOT FOR JUDGING and is not my entry. I just wanted to show Jack how easily it could be done. Of course it can be fancier and more as he said it "artsy".
Have fun!

Happy person with her piano. Almost completely backlit. I did some shots with fill-in flash but her expression was better with this shot.

L o n g l o n g workday today. So it's an abstract photo taken in the kitchen with the D7000 and sigma 105 macro. I wish I could have come back earlier to take some snowstorm shots, but no no.
So here you go:
Caught in winterland up here, it was still -25 C this morning. It's not even cold anymore, it's Freaking Cold. Anyway, it warmed up a bit and I was out and got this shot that I filtered for effect. I hope you enjoy the zen feeling.
This morning's outside temp is -25.6 C, that being roughly -19 F. So I took it from inside my kitchen window.
D 90, Nikon 28-80 3.3-5.6 G, iso 200, 1/80, f13.
Just as I was coming back home, good I had the D90 in the car. At -18 C, the battery was indicating weak but I was able to pull this shot. Actually HDR but no weird tonemapping.
Thank you all for the likes and the comments.
Winter's here, empty park, feeling sad since my neighbor got killed saturday in an accident with his bulldozer. Life is short, make sure you enjoy every minute of it.
Today's shot was done of a store front in Bromont, QC. I found this quite accidentally and thought that just the door deserved to be photographed. I hope you'll enjoy the spirit.
This is the old prison in Sherbrooke. It's not a prison anymore, but you can feel the darkness and the severity of this building just by looking at it.
