DxO Mark scores D600 vs D610

But if you look carefully, you'll also notice that the apertures and focal length are different. The best was at f5 with the D610. So, all in all, the difference in real life could very well be difficult to measure.

Marcel's once in a while daily or weekly 2014

April 4th, piano person of the day. I was lucky to have all this light for today's picture. Window is voluntary blown white to remove distractions from the person. I used a much faster shutter speed today not to be caught with shake blur. D700, 24-70 2.8 @ 3.2, 34mm, 1/640, iso 800.

One more that I will sneak in my today's pics. Food I shouldn't have had for lunch. Same tiny cam than this morning's piano person.

Another blurred shot due to too slow shutter speed. This time I resorted to a brush filter with Ps CC to fade the shutter blur. Fuji X10 but the person moved, not the camera.

April 2nd. Piano person of the day. Boy, I was so used to the D600 with the quiet mode that I forgot that with the D700 1/30 with a 70mm lens is below safety for motion blur. So, I had to blur it a bit more to make it acceptable. Also tried a B&W version and I'm still in between these twos...

When Someone Says They're Thinking About Buying A D600...

I got this camera about 2 weeks before going to Vietnam for a 3 weeks tour. What I liked very much about it is that most of the controls (except the - and + in view mode) were the same as my D7000. Size wise, it's a wonder to be able to carry a full frame in a DX format and weight. Here's a...

March 31st. Still working with this idea of slow shutter speed for my piano person's project. Got a little carried away with a 1 second trial hand held... A bit too slow but I got it up to 1/10 s. and got better. It's weird when you're so used to sharpening and pixel peeping, but the end...

Another 3 seconds hand held exposure. I'm trying to imitate the feel of old photographs that were made when the cameras had slow shutter speed and slow film.

March 30th. I felt like doing some experiment with hand held long exposures. Not so easy, but I was surprised as I got this one I find interesting. Fully backlit, the cat was in between two windows and the incoming light created some interesting effects. D600, 24-120 F-4 VR, 2.5 sec. f20

    'the barrage'

It's a great shot Scott. I love the flow and the fact that you were able to keep the human figure without moving too much during the exposure. The only thing I'd change is the crop. I think the large rock in the foreground is too predominant. I took the liberty of cropping it as I'd like it just...

March 30th. When it is enough, it keeps coming. Seems winter won't give us a break up here in the North East. Another dump of (as even my Mom says) white sh.t. So I opened the bathroom window to get these before even getting dressed. Not sure I want to go out today... :)

More expensive lens means a better image.

I'd just like to share what I was able to do with the shot you posted. Since you mention in your "Image Editing preferences" that it is OK to edit your image, here's what I was able to get out of the file you put on this thread: Now the only thing I did was to warm it up (color correction)...
