If you're more into portraits, I'll suggest the 85 1.8 G. It's a wonderful lens for the price. And if you have money left, maybe get the 50 1.8 D that is such a bargain. And it is sharp, very sharp.

Here is a pano done on the other side of the bridge. I only had a 28mm lens for widest, so I panned and stitched. 4 or 5 vertical shots to produce a super high def very large file.
Of course there is some loss in the file compression for this forum...
April 16th, our city is under water and I got back downtown to take a few pictures of the river overflowing. I only have time to post this one for now, but water is moving fast.
I think that B&W works very well with this picture. The crop however is bothering me a bit. I will just tell you my perspective and it doesn't mean I'm right. So everything I write, you're allowed to take with either a grain of salt or a whole box of it. :)

April 11th, I went back to the dam to get the shots I wanted since yesterday I had left my 16-35 at home and only found out when I got there. So, here are a few long exposures done with the Polaroid variable neutral density filter. For those who wonder, don't get this thing, because it smears...

Went out with the 600 and 24-120. The river is flowing like crazy and it made for some good shots.
