There's no reason to change away from continuous autofocus unless you have to focus and recompose. I never focus and recompose with the AF settings available these days.

This Wood Duck was looking at the acorns in the tree, and then looked over to me as if to ask if I could help him pick a few nuts for him and his friends.

Nope. These ducks are used to people, and will often get too close for me to be able to fit them in the frame. Quite different from Wood Ducks who aren't used to people, for sure.

It was fun to watch Wood Ducks flying up into oak trees to harvest acorns today.

First time I've photographed an Orange-crowned Warbler. Not a great shot, but it's a lifer so it gets posted. I know you can't see an orange crown. People who name birds are a little nuts. You can barely see an orange spot on the top of the head if the bird is excited or trying to be aggressive...

I spent the morning with about 50 Pelicans who were resting and refueling along their southern migration route.

The any pictures are very cool! The street photography shots were great, too. I like the out of the ordinary approach.
