Day 11 1/11/2012 Today I am 2 days away from saying goodbye to my suburban bedroom community and off to the new place to officially move in. So long sleepy Burbank and hello more edgy and busy Studio City. I've moved in 95% of my stuff and my daughter is packing for the final move on...

Day 9 1/9/2012 Still picture perfect SoCal weather (77 today) Off hiking in the Griffith Park Hills and up to the Griffith Park Observatory. This is living Hollywood Hills style: This is how you see the Observatory when hiking up the hills - pure white against a cloudless blue sky:

Day 8 1/8/2012 End of another 75 degree winter day in SoCal. Nothing like palm trees in evening light at the end of a warm winter day. Seasons, we have these for seasons; Fire, El Nino Rain (or Super Dry), Earthquake and Summer ;)

And I don't even know what to say about this monkey.... Except he will not be moving into the new place :)

Meet Buddha, she and Fluffy and Taylor will be sharing the new place in one short week. Today was the big garage sale and sold EVERYTHING I wanted to. Great day but nice and tired and ready to crash out ;)

1/1/2012 Well here goes my first entries into the project 365 - 2012. It's a brand new year and for me and my daughter (I'm a single dad for 17 years now) time for another fresh start. New house which is currently an empty pallet. We will be living there within about a week. 1 bedroom 1930's...

I will be going to Tanzania, Africa next spring. Safari in the Serengeti, Ngororo Crater, Oldavi Gorge cool animals and local people. Will my 70-300mm VR be enough of a zoom or do I need a longer lens for my D5100? Looked online at the Sigma 150-500mm but it's a big lens hand holding may be...

There was a light haze hanging over the city. The tall buildings are downtown Los Angeles, the hills just to the right of downtown are the Hollywood hills and the backside of Griffith Park. D5100 with 18-200mm VRII shot in RAW.

My fun 97 GT Mustang built to Cobra performance specs. Brought back to life from the salvage yard. This was shot with a Sony NEX-5 (which I ended up selling).
