My hike in the hills above Burbank, CA

There was a light haze hanging over the city. The tall buildings are downtown Los Angeles, the hills just to the right of downtown are the Hollywood hills and the backside of Griffith Park.

Hope you don't mind, but I took the liberty of copying this shot and changing it to what I thought should have been done.



Notice how I cropped it, losing most of the foreground, allowing more of the subject matter to be more prominent. To me, it's the back part of the picture that's important, not the foreground. Just my opinion.

Well I figured you were going for the tops of the buildings and the Hollywood Hills as your main focal points, right? So that's why I took out the messy foreground, which had no visual interest at all.
