This is the lake we were at today. It is in downtown York PA, which seems to be a crazy place for all these birds to gather. The large pines on the right are where the Egrets nest while the Herons nest in all of the trees along that side of the lake. The biggest problem, other that seeing...

Took over 250 shots today and having a hard time sorting them out.

Went back to check out the Herons this afternoon. Watched this guy pulling at twigs on a tree until one broke off. Waited about 10 minutes for him to head back to the nest. Gotta call it the best shot of the day. Will probably post more later tonight after I go through them all.

Stopped by the nest this afternoon. Dad was feeding the kids, who are getting much bigger.

A nesting pair of Egrets. Hard to see the nest through the tree. I love the green around their eyes during breeding season.

Not the best shot but they were far away. Another eagle (not sure of the type) came around and Dad was going to have nothing to do with it. He chased him until they were out of sight and returned about 5 minutes later. Fun to watch nature in action.
