    Project 52 by cnyram (Rick)

Abandoned Cement Factory HDR series I came across this abandoned factory while driving around looking for foliage shots. Was a really interesting spot, but didn't have much time before it rained to fully explore. Below is 5 HDR's of a few of the "attractions", There were more buildings than...

    Chairlift Ride

Scenic chairlift ride in Old Forge NY. I was riding in the chair in front of my wife and son. It was tough to try and turn around to shoot while maintianing a death grip on the bar (afraid of heights:eek:). Finally got it after many trys of putting the camera over my shoulder! Not a great...

Ball game with the 70-300 vr

The Washington Nationals triple-A affiliate is here in Syracuse, I brought my 70-300 to see how well it would perform. Unfortunately it was cloudy, so I shot with the ISO between 800-3200 for more speed. I did not crop any of these shots to show the true range, shot most of these between...

New to me Nikon 70-300 VR

I've never bought used lenses before, but when I saw a listing for a "like new, rarely used" Nikon 70-300 VR for only $250 I had to check it out. This was to me one of the 3 "must have" lenses for my triad. It was as advertised, immaculate, and I got it for $225! Of course it is a rainy day, but...

    Yellow Bird

I've noticed this yellow bird (not sure what it's name really is) over the past few weeks at our bird bath but could never get the camera out fast enough. This morning I built a cardboard blind to fit in a window about 20 feet away and finally got a few shots. I had only seen the one bright...

    "Color Correction" option-Nations Photo

Has anyone had prints developed using this option? I sent out a shot for enlargement and was not sure if I should have had it color corrected by them (I did not). Still waiting for it to arrive, should have posed this question sooner, but good to know for future work. Thanks!

Crackle Glass HDR vs. Single Expsosure

Your thoughts on the shots below? one is a single exposure and one is a 3 shot HDR merge. Which do you feel is better? Now that I see them together, the differences are very subtle.

    Hanging Basket

I loved the colors of these flowers but could not get around the basket, so I left it in for perspective. May have lost some detail since I was not in raw mode. The vignetting added mostly to minimize the basket. I was struggleing with a slight breeze so I don't think it's as sharp as it could...
