What's The "Best" Photo You Took In 2014 ... Ready, GO!!!

My best is always the one I enjoyed creating and the one that I could see before the shot, maybe not the exact detail, but the story the shot would tell. That is when I know I made the difference. I also cannot escape from waxing/waning light and the transformation of the world as the sun sets...

    The first sunrise of 2015

Almost missed the sunrise and just couldn't move to the other side of the trees (or the window), but this is what 2015 looked like from the where I first saw it.

    Eyelight's Rest of the Story

OK. Same tree. Used 6 shots with 2 horizontal and 3 vertical, just to see what could be done. Think they should have been overlapped more, maybe cut down on the distortion at the bottom. Does seem to give a better idea of the size of the tree.

    The World of December

Shadow of the photographer on the verge of attack by the shadow of something much larger as the light fades for the last time on 2014.

    The last sunset of 2014

I was not high enough (elevation wise) to catch the sunset at the far horizon, so opted for a few ancillary subjects to aid the primary.

Weekly Challenge Dec 24 - Dec 31: Topic "City Lights"

Not sure if this might be Whoville or perhaps an elf village. Does look like there are some dancers in the trees.

    52 photos in 2015 project

I count 22 participants in the 52 for 2015 Project and I think we have a few more that have not started a thread yet. Think we're going to have some fun next year and see some good works. Good job pushing to get this going @traceyjj :applouse:

    Eyelight's Technique 52 for 2015

Thought about just adding these as techniques and settings to be used on my Nikonites 52, but then thought it would be good to have a separate thread. - Planning to work with a technique/setting (on and off) for a week and post one or a few images that seem to work. - May use some of the same...

    Eyelight's Rest of the Story

Planted this in Scott's World of December thread, but thought it deserved a plant here as well. This is a two shot vertical pan.

Strange inverted Reflection from Flash ???

I think @480sparky nailed it. The flare shows up on the opposite side of the lens center from the light source. So, this kind of flare would always be flipped horiveritcally (<<<<<<new word. I just made it up.)

    Eyelight's Rest of the Story

Moon's evidently do grow on trees. There's one in the middle appears to be going thru a some sort of molt, maybe getting ready to fall off and grow even bigger.
