I thought the hidden birdie was better too. They're hard to come by, so I tried one with a little help. 2 birds in this one.

I might have another birdie shot, but in the meanwhile, there's a paper clip in this one. OK. This one might be too tough.

    Portable backdrop for company headshots?

I'd be interested to see what it looks like in a portrait shot to compare with the one previously posted by @PapaST earlier in the thread.

See if this one can last a little longer than the last. Near 1:1 of an object that is very common in the US. Similar objects are used in other countries, but don't know if they are made with the same material.

    Eyelight's Rest of the Story

This thread is about the difference between exposure and ISO, and the use of in camera processing and post processing to achieve a usable image. I kind of like the old days when Kodachrome was King. Life was simpler. We had fewer choices. Load your film and then you only had exposure to...

how do you mimic color saturation on "miniature effect" in manual mode?

I think using the miniature effect also applies some other adjustments which are not defined. Just taking a stab (I'm bored) the main thing between these two images seems to be the first is 1-2 stops more exposed than the second. Here is the first with only the exposure adjusted -2.01 in LR.

    Macro Mysteries to Solve

You got it. Named after the Osage Indians in the region. We call them hedge apples, and I just learned today it is because they were planted in rows and would grow so thick they could be used for fencing. Stopped being used as such with the advent of barbed wire.
