    Adjusting out an unwanted Highlight!

This is what I really like about post processing. There are different ways to do something. I liked @Scott Murray 's approach so tried one. This is with the LR adjustment brush reducing exposure and clarity on the background going for the look that the background was more in the shade. Then...

Post your low light long exposures

Since this here is a picture thread, here's my latest no light looooongg exposure. It is ISO 100 f/3.2 at 10 minutes 49 seconds. Just amazes me how bright the light is in a dark room.

    Eyelight's Technique 52 for 2015

EV -5 Same light sources as the last EV -6 shot, so we can see that 1 stop less exposure is closer to what was needed in the darkness. f/4 @ 8 minutes and 34 seconds <<Should be 32 but I was asleep at the switch.

    Eyelight's Technique 52 for 2015

One more EV -6 before we move on. The enlightening thing about these long exposures is how little light it takes and how well the modern digital sensor performs. The light for this shot was a combination of street light coming thru closed shades across the room and the laptop screen which was...

I Need Help Removing "Racoon Eyes"

OK. Here we go. A combination of cloning and healing, with a few adjustments in LR in an attempt to lessen the impact of the shadows. You can cheat on the left shadows because hard to tell precisely how the light would spill, but the right is too much of a line from the hair. Nowhere near...

Post your 'before' and 'after' pictures

Like the thread. Here's one that came to mind. Before After I went cheap on the how-to by snipping the LR history. In reverse order just in case anyone perusing is not familiar with LRs history dialogue.

    Macro Mysteries to Solve

Too tough I reckon. #122 is a DVD. I took one out just to macro the surface and when I laid it in the sun for the shot.......

    Macro Mysteries to Solve

#107 is a mint. Altoid to be precise. Could have almost maybe say it was solved with the sugar guess because sugar is the first ingredient, but then not exactly.

    Macro Mysteries to Solve

Here's two more shots of the same object reflecting the same sunlight at different angles and maybe a bit further away that #122.

    Macro Mysteries to Solve

I'll leave that one to be pondered for a bit. Here is another and it's a bit different. A near 1:1 shot of sunlight reflecting off of something. What is the something?
