How about posting your HDR images?

I love what Photomatix does but until I pay for it I have to put up with their watermark

How about posting your HDR images?

Playing with HDR again. This is a three exposure HDR. These were done with the free software Luminance HDR.

How about posting your HDR images?

Another attempt at an HDR image. Still I am not doing this correctly. I took one image and changed the exposure values in LR and used two images. I like what I got but I know this is not correct.

    Reception Party under Fluorescent Lighting

Not wanting to waste the whole afternoon I made all attempts to capture some of those non-posed moments and intimate moments between people who may not see each other very often. These will mean things only to those who know who are in the photos but I guess that is what makes family memories.

    Reception Party under Fluorescent Lighting

Now I mentioned some of those that were just wanting their photo taken wherever they were at the moment. I just did the best I could do. Use my lens to blur the background as much as possible and keep as much of the background as possible out of my photo. Those mostly looked like this. I don't...

    Reception Party under Fluorescent Lighting

Ok well, I am not going to start a new thread and bore you all with photos of my family and their friends. I will just post a few more in here and let that be representative of how most of the shoot went for me. I don't know how many of you have encountered this but, do you ever go to shoot...

    Reception Party under Fluorescent Lighting

Whew! Long day. I only managed about 135 shots. Lighting was fine with no real issues whatsoever. What was a problem was the location and the condition of the interior of the room. Walls were horrible and cluttered everywhere. Just not set up for good background at all. I made do with...

    Reception Party under Fluorescent Lighting

Not a wedding, but not that much different. I have been asked to shoot the reception party for my aunt's 90th birthday party reception. I k now the building and it has fluorescent lights inside. It also has windows along the outside perimeter but they are small. I do not remember the...

    Getting started with studio lighting...

This is how I imagine the lighting should have been. If I am incorrect please speak up as I am interested in this and am learning as I go as well.

    Ambient's 2014 365 Thread

Ok. I see a few things that you need to change. But, I need to know if you are using the 1.4 converter on these? That will change the amount of light you are getting and will affect things a bunch. Second, how close can you get to the birds? Can you get set up within 10 feet of where they...

    Mike D90's Project 365 2014

Day #44 Playing with the Nikon AF-S Nikkor 18-70mm "DX" lens a little. I don't use this lens much but I have read that it is a very sharp lens. It does seem to be just about as sharp as my 50mm f/1.8 but only more in the center where the 50mm is sharp almost everywhere. The new $100 USD Bill

    Mike D90's Project 365 2014

Day #43 Playing with close focus of the 50mm f/1.8 lens. There will be no EXIF on this shot as it was done with manual exposure and reverse mount lens. I took this photo on Wednesday February 12th. As shot. Cropped

50mm with Macro Reverse Mount Ring (not stacked lens)

These are crops, still at 100% view, of some of those images above.

50mm with Macro Reverse Mount Ring (not stacked lens)

Here are some better examples of the detail that you can get with this reverse 50 rig if you are careful with the focus and have light without shadow. This is the new $100 USD bill I got today. None of these are cropped and none are sharpened. These are 100% out of camera, with minor...

50mm with Macro Reverse Mount Ring (not stacked lens)

And the final shot with a little more DOF

50mm with Macro Reverse Mount Ring (not stacked lens)

Here is another with slightly more DOF.

50mm with Macro Reverse Mount Ring (not stacked lens)

Here I used a pencil and a sharpener to get some shavings. This was easier to focus on and I did similarly with aperture to get less, then more, DOF at each shot. The first shot is a 100% crop of the uncropped shot below it to give an example. And for comparison this is about as close...

50mm with Macro Reverse Mount Ring (not stacked lens)

Seeing Scotts macro shots using his rig I thought I would post some macros here using a simple macro reverse ring and a 50mm "D" lens with adjustable aperture ring. The ring is a simple metal ring with a bayonet lug on one side and filter threads on the other. You click the bayonet mount into...

    Post your Studio Photography

Very impressive stuff Mai! You really do have some beautiful work! Actually, you are my inspiration for pet photography! Here is my second attempt at a studio type portrait (of myself) using one primary light off camera (brolly box) and a key light (beauty dish) above camera.
