I like the Nik tools Silver Effects for B/W photos. I cannot buy the software though and would like to know if this effect can be closely mimicked or reproduced using Lightroom or Photoshop?

I am seeing that when I post more than one image inside a thread, even though they are cropped and sized exactly the same size, they will not be displayed the same size within the post. One is always smaller than the other, the first image is usually the largest. What is up with that??

Simple. There is no photo there to see. I am trying to post a screenshot but the photo uploader is fudged up again.

I am thinking about snatching up one of these used on eBay and I wonder if the 60mm is the right choice for my DX camera D90? Should I go for the 40mm instead or even go older and get the 55mm f/2.8 Micro manual focus?

My first ever horse shot. I think the light was wrong but to get another angle I would have had to trespass on someone else' property. Will have to get another angle one day. NOTE: This is a rescue horse taken in from another owner. This is why it is so thin. It will be well cared for now.

Having a hard time deciding which one I like best of these. They are all among my top 10 photos to date as to clarity and sharpness, not necessarily for creativity. All were taken with my D90.
