Sorry if I posted this in the wrong place (I also put it in the D810 forum) Lightroom 5.6 with full support for the NEF/RAW files of the Nikon D810 is now out: Lightroom 5.6 Now Available NOW, the only issue left is for the Mac OS to be able to open the D810's NEF files!

Here is my effort with my D800 (Which I no longer have) and a 105mm 2.8 micro...WEV. and WORNISH...How in the world do you get so close to insects?

I'm not sure this is the proper place to post this so please forgive me if so. I was wondering this: If you are cleaning the sensor and you forget to shut the camera off after doing so, and have left the mirror up when re-mounting the lens, can you cause damage to the sensor and/or the lens?

Very nice shot, Mom. I really like the angle of the flower as well. I also love the bee in the shot! I too have been experimenting with flowers. On a rainy day I set up a vase and just made a background and put the camera on a tripod. I used one speed light on the camera and another to the side...

Although the D810 is gone, I went out with the D610 and 14-24 2.8 and the results weren't too bad.

Although I had to return my D810, I went out with my D610 and the 14-24 2.8 and was pretty pleased with the results.

If cash was not an issue and the primary use is of landscapes, which body would be preferable?

Due to a severe financial crisis, I am returning the D810. Maybe someday I'll get another one when I'm able.
