I am really pleased with the camera so far. It feels really nice in my hands. With the battery grip and a 70-200 on it, it's a real beast but I like that. I've done a couple of test shoots and the images are Amazing! I'll post some here and these are just from jpg's. So, my initial impressions...

This might seem silly, but I've changed lenses on my new D810 about 3 times and on the last shoot I took a shot of the clear sky with my 70-200 2.8 VRII at f22, out of focus in order to check for dirt on the sensor. There was one (count em) one piece that I saw at 100% zoom. My semi-idiotic...

Now that the drama is almost over, Here are a few test shots I made today. Straight from the camera as jpg with a 70-200 2.8 VII.

Well back it goes!! It is producing corrupt raw files....I've troubleshot it every possible way, in the camera and in the computer....!! went on a shoot and when transferring to the Mac each RAW file is showing approx 80 mg file and size of file shows ZERO.....Just my luck..

I experimented with this setting today and was really please and surprised at the results. I set it to the Normal setting not really knowing what to expect. I had set the ISO to 100 and soon found I was getting a wild variety of ISO setting...anywhere from 200 to 1250! It was a sunny day and I...
