First flowers of Spring here in Pittsburgh are almost always Lillies of the Valley. They sometime push up through the last snow.

Excellent article in April issue of Outdoor Photographer magazine about telephoto lenses. Might be of interest to many members shooting landscapes. I recommend it.

Went today and scoped out the church and to get some test shots with the zoom. It does give more options and theISO is still moderate.

This is the year of the accessory for me. First was the Black Rapid strap and several weeks ago a new Lowepro Transit 350 backpack And now a nd filter to go after those flowing water shots

Do not normally photograph people events but it looks as if I will be photographing a christening. I have a 35mm 2.8 lens a 50mm 1.8 lens and my old faithful, my 16-85 vr lens. Since we will be in a church and I do not want to use a flash what is my best choice of lens? Only have one chance to...

Went to Home Depot for screws or such and they have flats of flowers out already. This little fellow called to me so I took him home and then decided I had to have his portrait. So here it is in full Macro shot with my Tokina 35mm 2.8 Macro

I liked the somber tones but it is difficult to get tree photos sometimes in an urban environment. If you look closely you will see the electric wires.
