Thought I'd throw this shot in here, taken by one of the participants at an RC helicopter flying field. I was taking a break when he rushed over and wanted to take a shot of the field photographer.....me. :) I'm dressed in my best vagabond/hobo-wear! ;)

You don't mention the type of battery used, other than they're rechargeable. Maybe a set of Eneloops will do the trick for you. It's all I use in my SB-700 and they seem to last forever. I very rarely charge them. I've done a whole wedding on one set of batteries. These are the ones I'm talking...

I love my 18-105. I don't consider it a kit lens, though, as I bought it separately because I wanted it and knew it was a great lens to have. Here is a small example of what this lens does for me.

Rick, I have a filter case that you can have. It will fit your 67mm perfectly. Just say the word and I'll send it off to you. :) This is what I'm using now for my 67's. A leather case that holds 3 filters.

OK, here's the situation. Today I picked up a used D40 body, including genuine Nikon battery and the charger. The lady I got it from said it wasn't working and just decided to get rid of it. She had bought a new D5100 for herself instead. OK...on to the problem I'm having. I charged the battery...
