Steve....this is my version of what you posted. A little different perspective, and different "toning". Many different ways of cropping and toning this shot, but this is what I saw in my mind's eye. What do you think? Better? Worse?

Dave, that's one feature I'd love to have on my old 055. But...I improvise when I have to shoot anything that's "out of reach", as it were. :) For instance... ...one leg on the floor, the other two spread out on top of the bench. Gets the camera in close for the shot. Not perfect, but...

I need a quick answer, guys, on how many numbers there are in a D300 serial number. I also need an American model and a Canadian model to see if there is a difference in the first 3 numbers that denote country designation. Thanks. Jack

Alex, I still have the 3 way head my 055 came with. I refurbished it and it still works like a hot damn. I use it on my other tripod, the Hi-Ace 400 (Hi-Ace was bought out by Slik a few years ago).

How's this.....better? :) Those catch lights in her eyes are what make this shot for me.

Yeah, I'd definitely lower the exposure. It's a little too bright all over. Maybe something like this would be better, yes? :)

And now for something completely different........my neighbour directly behind my house got robbed this morning, so the police photographer was called out to take evidence pictures. He was using a Nikon D300s. :) And the temperature was -24C!
