These were taken last year at an antique car show in Kelowna, British Columbia. I had forgotten about them till I discovered them on one of my memory cards. I thought I'd pop a few on here for the car buffs in the crowd. :)

Slowpoke.....no offense, but......doesn't this shot of that blue fish look better?

It's self standing. It sits in front of the Bow building, which is in itself an impressive building for it's geometric shape and styling. The bottom picture is shot looking through it from the inside of the head. Unfortunately, I don't have a wide angle lens to truly capture what that looks...

I thought this was really cool. It sits in front of a new building in downtown Calgary, called the Bow Tower. I left some people in the shot to show a sense of scale. It's huge!

Third and last entry: Computer power distribution panel. Same lens.

My first entry of this assignment: Lag bolts. Shot with 28-105 lens in macro mode.

Tell me what you guys think of this. Shot with the D40 on a spur of the moment thing.

If you can get one, I'd suggest getting a 5-in-1 diffuser for reflecting light on the group shots. Using the natural power of sunlight with a reflector brings out the best in pictures. All the advice given by the others is right on the money, too.

OK, as promised, here's the 4 compressors that I presently have. The old dirty one...lol....is the one I've been working on, and I've plumbed it so that it finally works great now! The green one is the one I keep down in my basement shop. The others are out in the garage.

Update on my old compressor.... Well, I finally got everything cleaned up, so to speak, and put back together. It actually runs better than when I got it. :) Think I should paint it, or leave it as is?

I haven't spent as much time as I would normally in here lately, as I've been busy working on an old compressor I just came into possession of. This thing is from the early 50's! :) I've taken everything apart and have been cleaning and inspecting all the components in order to get it running as...

I think this might prove useful for some of you new camera owners out there. :)

Jeff....what can I say....all awesome shots! Love your work, bud! :) So what do I do but come along and show you what it's doing outside at this very moment on this fine spring day here in Calgary! LOL Gawd....what did I do to deserve this kind of weather! lol :)

Since it's +1C and snowing outside, I was getting bored, so I looked for something to do. A buddy of mine had given me an old microphone stand, and it gave me an idea. I converted it to be my new 5-in-1 reflector stand/holder. :) Here's a few shots to show you what I mean:

I liked the first shot of the jump rope. I took the liberty of tweaking it a bit to see if it made any difference. I think it did. Your thoughts?
