    Noob-Leaves - Too Bright

It helps to shoot this when the sun is low in the sky. The light is softer, less intense. But the short version is that the meter in the camera is averaging the too-bright Sun and too-dark shadow and unable to resolve it intelligently. You can also use the exposure compensation to lighten or...

Interesting data from my Youtube channel

Who knows, this could be your path to a monetized account and nearly free money. About the analytics: you might be underestimating Google's ability and willingness to spy on it's users. If the user is viewing in Chrome and have a Gmail account, they are not anonymous at all. And the location...

    P1000 Jitters

Have you thought to turn off the VR and see what happens? In my mirrorless Z5 with the VR on normally, I sometimes see the image "jump" as the VR tries to steady the image until it is overwhelmed.

    Soft edges on wide shots – Z6III + 14-30mm f/4

Your problems with this lens are consistent with the professional reviews. https://www.imaging-resource.com/lenses/nikon/z-14-30mm-f4-s-nikkor/review/ Except for Ken Rockwell, but he is often more forgiving of faults in equipment. In his review he started out (blaming) listing any mistakes a...

    F4 issue

Before I lose the link, here is a user manual online: https://www.nikonclassics-michalke.de/Prospekte/F4-F4S_k.pdf I might shine a light in the battery cavity of the F4 body and look for any dirt, oxidation, or obstruction on a electrical contact. You can use white vinegar on a Q-tip to clean...

Please share which lens you are using. Not every vintage lens can have the aperture controlled by the camera body.

    Feed back on black birds.

Should be about the same, but a mirrorless also shows that inside the viewfinder so the sunlight won't wash it out.

    Feed back on black birds.

DSLR image review shows what you just took. Mirrorless displays what you are about to take as you compose. You can set the view in the finder to reflect the exposure settings, and see the changes applied as you change them with the command dials.

    Feed back on black birds.

You got better feather detail than I did last year with my blackbirds. But I looked, was using matrix metering and no compensation. I also was not planning to photograph blackbirds at a place named Goose Pond. ;)

    Macro Motion Sickness

I can sympathize. I can sometimes start to get vertigo looking through a viewfinder from a very elevated place. It has happened to me photographing from a fire tower in a park. I also had to give up on playing any 1st-person-shooter type video games 30 years ago when the CPUs finally became...

    Nikon D7000 + Tamron AF 70-300 f/4-5.6 (172DN) fEE Error - Need Help!

I am having a nostalgia trip just reading the hardware. I am sure I had that Tamron lens and a D7000, but not at the same time. The Tamron was such a frustrating slow AF to use on my D80's that I junked it after getting a similar Nikon screw-drive 70-300. But I do have a relevant story for a...

Importing photos from Nikon cameras to Photoshop Elements 14.

Ray, I am just going to chime in with my own solution with free software. NX Studio is a perfectly good solution, but there are more powerful alternatives. I had been importing photos with NX Studio but I have been using DigiKam lately. The organization options are more powerful. Free software...
