    I was sitting here, posting nonsense, and heard a really lout dove coo outside the window. I grabbed my camera and took a look. I found a Eurasian collared dove pecking, but it spooked, so only got some shots up on the phone line. We have been getting reports of a developing colony here.

    The day started off with a steady drizzle of rain and I was all set to make do shooting some bugs in the yard, when I got a text from @Roy1961. He was at the Arb and had found a pair of green heron chicks. When I got there, I didn't see Roy, but found the kids in a big clump of sedge in the back...
